    Job Summary

    Under general direction of the Lead Application Developer, designs, develops, and tests custom .NET web applications and tools. Creates each application layer: user interface, services, repositories, and database objects. Develops applications using ASP.NET MVC 5 and C#, Bootstrap, jQuery, web services, and MS SQL Server. Collaborates with project team to define scope, level of effort, and schedule. Translates complex business requirements into scalable application features. Performs testing to satisfy requirements and ensure coding standards. Produces responsive web designs meeting accessibility standards.

    DEFINITION

    Under general direction, designs, develops, and tests custom .NET web applications and tools; develops applications using ASP.NET MVC and C#, Bootstrap, jQuery, web services, and MS SQL Server; collaborates with project team on application development; translates business requirements into scalable application features; adheres to coding and accessibility standards; performs assigned duties.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Designs, develops, and maintains new and existing code, from client-side development using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, to server-side code using C# and ASP.Net MVC. Creates each application layer from inception to implementation. Provides rapid prototyping and presents designs. Works with project manager for requirement analysis. Collaborates on defining project scope, effort, and timelines. Partners with teams for software design. Writes clean code using .NET programming languages. Develops SQL queries and implements security protocols. Tests and deploys applications for quality assurance. Conducts code reviews and improves existing software. Writes documentation and provides technical support.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    Education, Training, and Experience

    Equivalent to a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems and three years as a full-stack .NET developer required; advanced certifications desired.

    Knowledge of

    Current features of C# and its coding environment .NET framework; MS SQL database; Object-Oriented programming logic; client-side web technologies; HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap; source control software; federal accessibility standards and W3C validation.

    Skill and Ability to

    Write clean code in C#; develop scalable solutions; restructure code for quality; set priorities and meet deadlines; stay updated on technology; provide support; establish working relationships; communicate technical ideas effectively.

    Other Characteristics

    Possession of California driver's license; willingness to travel locally using own transportation.
