    As the Senior Product Manager for The Toro Company's Portable Power business, you will lead the handheld portable power category (60V battery and corded) and team while maintaining key customer relationships with our mass and dealer channels. Responsibilities include development of appropriate objectives, strategies and tactics built on a customer-first mindset to ensure the optimal performance of the category. Scope of work includes products, services, promotions, pricing programs, channel delivery and P&L management. This role works cross-functionally with engineering, sales, marketing communications, customer care and integrated supply chain leadership teams.

    What Will You Do?

    • Utilize a deep understanding of end user needs, you will partner with your team and define the product vision and strategy for portable power category
    • Establish a compelling vision, strategy and business case for the portable power product category
    • Engage with mass channel and dealer sales partners to deliver on business financials and strategic category objectives
    • Act as a thought leader for product management and product positioning while achieving buy-in from divisional and executive leadership
    • Accountable for the P&L, category annual plan and team leadership
    • Leverage consumer insights, in-market voice of customer and emerging trends to develop a market leading product portfolio that capitalizes on electrification market trends
    • Develop clear roadmaps, in-depth product requirements and competitive benchmarking to ensure product categories are best-in-class
    • Perform other duties and projects as requested.

    What Do You Need?

    • BA or BS Degree in marketing related discipline required; with 10+ years marketing experience
    • MBA preferred with 8+ years' experience in consumer, mid-price/premium products
    • Emerging technologies experience, including product portfolio electrification and/or IoT desired
    • Strong customer orientation, including experience leading Voice of Customer
    • Legacy of P&L leadership and delivering on company financial commitments
    • Passion for providing market leading products on time and within project scope, including minimum 7 years of successfully managing new product development efforts
    • Ability to lead teams and develop go-to-market strategies
    • Must possess strong analytical skills and demonstrated superior interpersonal, supervisory and leadership abilities for project/team management
    • Must possess excellent interpersonal and communications skills, exhibit initiative and be a team player fully supportive of division and company objectives and culture
    • Travel: Up to 25% travel

    Scope:

    The Senior Marketing Manager, Portable Power will work broadly across the organization (engineering, marketing, sales, IT, integrated supply chain) and with important mass and dealer channel partners. This position supervises a team.
