    This position requires an LCSW credential. Must speak English, Mandarin, and Cantonese. Toishanese and Fuzhounese a plus.

    BASIC FUNCTION: Provides problem gambling and substance use counseling/treatment services for adults in the DRS outpatient substance use and problem gambling treatment program. Services and interventions are based on input from the interdisciplinary treatment team and the clinical/program supervisor and compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.

    MAJOR DUTIES:

    · Provides individualized, evidence-based counseling/treatment for problem gambling, substance use disorders, and mental illness when indicated.

    · Conducts client intakes, including psychosocial history and mental health screenings, makes clinical assessments, and designs person-centered treatment plans.

    · Coordinates client treatment with other clinicians as indicated

    · Establishes professional and therapeutic relationships and serves as a positive role model.

    · Provides individual counseling, group, and/or family counseling as indicated

    · Maintains client charts in regulatory compliance, updates treatment planning, and writes progress notes and psychosocial histories.

    · Prepares required reports.

    · Refers clients to other institutions for needed services.

    · Sees unassigned clients at the request of the Director and designee.

    · Performs administrative tasks as assigned by the Director.

    · Fills in for other staff who are on vacation.

    · Performs other duties as requested or assigned.

    SCHEDULE: Full Time

    RATE: $100,000 - $110,000 / yearly dependent on experience

    LOCATION: New York, NY 10002
