One of the world's leading High-Frequency Trading (HFT) firms based in the heart of New York's financial district are looking to hire a Trading Support SRE.

Role Overview: They are seeking a talented Trading Support Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join their elite team. As a Trading Support SRE, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the stability, reliability, and performance of the trading systems. You will collaborate closely with traders, developers, and other stakeholders to maintain and enhance the high-performance trading systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor, maintain, and optimize the performance of our trading systems, including low-latency trading platforms and supporting infrastructure.
• Proactively identify and resolve issues to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation of critical trading systems.
• Develop and implement tools and automation to streamline operational processes and enhance system reliability.
• Participate in capacity planning and scalability efforts to support the firm's growing trading activities.
• Collaborate with software engineering teams to troubleshoot complex technical issues and drive improvements in system architecture and design.
• Contribute to incident response and post-mortem processes to identify root causes and prevent recurrence of issues.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within a high-frequency trading or financial services environment.
• Strong proficiency in Linux/Unix systems administration and scripting (e.g., Shell, Python).
• Deep understanding of networking concepts and protocols, including TCP/IP, UDP, multicast, and routing.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and Splunk.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
