    Position Summary:

    As a Distribution Operations Intern you will play an active role in the operation of a fast paced multi-million-dollar distribution center. For 12 weeks during the summer, you will join our Distribution Operations team in one of our distribution centers across the US and receive an exceptional experience through a mix of on-the-job training, project management experience and ongoing mentorship from your leadership team.
    Through this internship, youll have the opportunity to:

    • Learn from and shadow distribution leaders.
    • Gain exposure to the full lifecycle of our distribution model
    • Participate and contribute to process improvement initiative.
    • Provide insights and collaborate with business partners and leaders.
    • Actively participate in advising specific functions within the Distribution Center

    Interns will be given the opportunity to manage and lead a process improvement project that supports a key facility/organizational initiative and give a final presentation to the US executive leadership team upon completion of the internship.

    Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

    • Rotate through all functions of the distribution center, including, but not limited to:
      • Warehouse operations
      • Transportation
      • Restaurant Services/Customer Service/Field Service
      • Inventory
      • Human Resources
      • Function as lead person on specific projects
    • Actively participate in internship program training activities, developmental opportunities, and events.
    • Gain understanding of all business areas to develop business acumen.
    • Timely completion of business-specific projects and tasks
    • Other projects or duties as assigned.
    Qualifications:

    Required Skills and Experience:

    • Rising Juniors and Seniors that are currently enrolled in a 4-yr. program and pursuing a bachelors degree in logistics, operations management, supply chain management, Industrial Engineering, or business management/administration.
    • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
    • Strong analytical thinking and sophisticated problem-solving skills
    • Confidence and flexibility to thrive in a fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous environment.
    • Ability to organize work tasks and work independently or as part of team.
    • Team-oriented thinking with enthusiasm for continuous learning
    • Strong working knowledge of MS Office applications in MS Office
    • A willingness to work flexible work schedule (e.g., nights, weekends and holidays) as needed and regular work attendance required.
    • Ability to travel up to 10% nationally.
    • This position must pass a post-offer background and drug test.
