IT Support Specialist
DeKalb County, GA ( Local Candidates Only )
3+month contract ( On-Site required from day 1 )

This position involves imaging, deployment, and technical support of laptops, desktops, and peripherals for in-house and remote customers. The specialist configures and supports desktop applications, ensuring configurations comply with IT policies. Additionally, they handle data backup and restore operations and manage hardware surplus.

Responsibilities:

• Provide imaging, deployment, and technical support for laptops, desktops, and peripherals.
• Configure and support desktop applications, ensuring compliance with IT policies.
• Perform data backup and restore operations.
• Manage surplus hardware.
• Set up and install computers for New Hire On-Boardings and Off-Boardings.
• Support remote workers and troubleshoot VPN and remote technology issues.
• Implement Bitlocker encryption and conduct antivirus and malware/spyware removal.
• Assist in maintaining Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity issues in LAN and WAN environments.
• Provide desktop/laptop computer hardware support.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Applications, Computer Technology OR Associate's degree in Computer Applications, Computer Technology and 3 years of experience. ( Required )
• 3+ years of experience in Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP ( Required )
• 3+ years of experience in imaging and deploying laptops ( Required )
• 3+ years of experience troubleshooting network connectivity issues in LAN and WAN environments ( Required )
• 3+ years of experience providing desktop/laptop computer hardware support ( Required )
• 3+ years of experience setting up and installing computers for New Hire On-Boardings and Off-Boardings ( Required )
• 3+ years of experience supporting remote workers and troubleshooting VPN and remote technology issues ( Required )
• 3+ years of experience with Bitlocker encryption, antivirus, and malware/spyware removal software ( Required )
• Working knowledge of VMware ESXi and vSphere ( Highly Desired )
• Working knowledge with Palo Alto Firewalls ( Highly Desired )
• Working knowledge with Mitel Telephony System ( Highly Desired )
