    Avera is currently seeking an Agency Supervisor looking to deliver the best possible nursing care in Avera's patient-focused settings.

    This position may be eligible for an $8,000 sign on bonus

    • Job Summary

  • The Agency Supervisor is accountable for ensuring patient care is coordinated and managed appropriately.
  • Focuses on the work of the department, quality monitoring, teaching and serving as an ongoing resource.

    • Education and/or Experience

  • Graduate from an approved nursing program required.
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
  • Graduate from a CCNE or NLN accredited nursing program is strongly preferred.
  • Has training or experience in health services administration with at least 1 year of supervisory or administrative experience in home health care or related health programs required.
  • 2-3 years of hospice nursing experience preferred.

    • Licensure/Certification/Registration

  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of South Dakota and/or meeting the requirements of Multi-state licensure required.
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Minnesota may be required depending on the service area. If required, must obtain within 90 days of being placed in the position or of the requirement.
  • This position requires a valid driver's license and that the employee is insurable by the Avera Health automobile liability insurance carrier.

    • Work Schedule

  • 8:00am-5:00pm with wknd/hol/call rotations; 80hrs/2wks
  • Weekend rotation: every 5-7 weekend
  • Holiday rotation: 1-2x a year
  • Call time involvement: 1-2 week nights a month
