    Lakeview Center provides comprehensive behavioral health care to adults and children with mental illnesses, drug and alcohol dependencies and intellectual disabilities.

    The Meridian is a Statewide Inpatient Psychiatric Program (SIPP) and offers treatment to Medicaid and/or Medicaid eligible children with a serious emotional disturbance that requires treatment in a residential treatment center. The Meridian provides mental health treatment for male and female children and adolescents between the ages of 7 and 17, and utilizes a multi-disciplinary treatment approach with a focus on psychotherapeutic intervention in a structured, community living environment with 24-hour supervision. The program also provides substance abuse intervention services for children and adolescents who are at risk for substance abuse, and provides substance abuse treatment services for children and adolescents who have been identified as needing moderate substance abuse and related-problem treatment.


    Overview:


    Behavior Health Technician Supervisor assists the counselors/therapeutic/nursing staff by providing clinical support to adults or children who are receiving substance abuse, mental health services or co-occurring disorders in residential programs, inpatient settings, day/evening programs, outpatient programs and/or community-based programs.

    This position serves as a role model, mentor, and/or assistant trainer to other Behavior Health Technicians.

    Behavior Health Technician Supervisor is responsible for, but is not limited to:




    • Providing direction and feedback to other Behavior Health Technicians during shift.



    • Establishing a positive helping relationship with persons receiving services.



    • Assisting persons receiving services to complete activities of daily living, including accessing needed resources and building functional relationships with others.



    • Ensuring the safety of the person receiving services.



    • Implementing specific interventions according to the person's treatment or service plan.



    • Monitoring and documenting the person's progress.

    Role Requirements:



    • A bachelor's degree in social work or in a related area of study from an accredited college or university and at least two (2) years of experience working with children; or two (2) years of college and three (3) years of experience working with children; or at least five (5) years of experience working in child welfare without a post-secondary degree.



    • Must be able to provide individualized, integrated mental health, substance abuse and co-occurring services to meet the needs of individuals served and their families, as required.



    • Must be able to travel locally to client's homes, training locations and other locations as necessary.



    • Must be able to pass organization screening requirements, including state or federal background screenings as appropriate.



    • Must possess a valid driver's license from the state in which you reside, a good driving record and be insurable under the corporate policy.

    Compensation:

    Base pay ranges from $ $18.75 an hour based on experience.
