    Position Overview:


    Leads the development of enterprise technology, solutions, systems, storage, network and telecommunications engineering designs that are used as a basis for consolidating and standardizing infrastructure throughout Sutter Health and its affiliates.

    Interprets architecture requirements, design, product evaluations, selection, configuration, installation, testing and integration of new technology to better support the needs of Sutter Health and its affiliates.

    Provides in-depth cross-platform server systems, systems engineering, and integration leadership.


    Job Description :

    EDUCATION:
    Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.

    Bachelor's:
    Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field


    TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
    2 years recent relevant experience.

    Experience building and operating data center network fabrics.

    Experience with network routing protocols and Ethernet switching.

    Background in troubleshooting large, complex networks.

    Understanding of VMWare and Hypervisor platforms a plus.

    Experience with IT Service Management and Highly Reliability Organizations a plus.

    Analyze information, problems, situations, practices, or procedures in order to identify relevant concerns and factors.

    Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with clients, information services (IS) team members, management, and executive personnel/staff.

    Verbal and writing skills to effectively communicate with diverse groups such as: executives, managers, and subject matter experts.

    Use basic English words and phrases to effectively and clearly organize and communicate thoughts and ideas.

    Organize workflow to accomplish established objectives.

    Prioritize assignments to complete work in a timely manner.

    Work independently and follow through on assignments with minimal direction.


    Work as part of a team or collaborate with colleagues from different departments to achieve a common goal or to gain better understanding of client needs.

    Perform effectively in environments with frequent and fluctuating workload changes, competing demands, and frequent interruptions and/or distractions.

    DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC

    SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:


    Department:

    Network specialty, Data Center Network infrastructure which may include: Nexus 7000/9000, NXOS, Cisco ACI, Fabric Path, Multi Site Orchestrator (MSO), Packet Brokers, and Firewalls.

    Ability to implement protocols such as OSPF, IS-IS, BGP, MP-BGP, GRE, NAT, VRF/Routing, vPC, FabricPath, OTV, BFD, PIM, FHRP, STP, LACP, EVPN, VMM, EPLD, SPAN and VXLAN.

    Familiarity with ACI Policy Model. Experience integrating ACI with VMware.
    Troubleshoot IP underlay, IP overlay, Ethernet, and Multicast.
    Knowledge in complex Data Center and Cloud Infrastructure.

    Pay Range is $52.01 to $78.03 / hour

    The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location.

    This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled.

    Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate's experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs.
