Overview: We are seeking a skilled and versatile General Machinist with extensive experience in fabrication and welding to join our team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in operating various machining equipment, capable of reading technical drawings, and possess a strong understanding of fabrication and welding techniques. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities:

1. Operate a variety of machining equipment such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, and drill presses to fabricate and modify parts according to specifications.
2. Utilize fabrication techniques including cutting, bending, and shaping metal to produce components and assemblies as per engineering drawings and project requirements.
3. Perform various welding processes including MIG, TIG, and arc welding to join metal components with precision and structural integrity.
4. Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to understand project requirements and specifications.
5. Ensure the quality of fabricated parts and welded assemblies through meticulous inspection and adherence to established standards and tolerances.
6. Perform routine maintenance on machining equipment and tools to ensure optimal performance. Troubleshoot and repair equipment as needed.
7. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while operating machinery, handling materials, and performing welding activities. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
8. Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams to coordinate projects, resolve issues, and ensure timely completion of tasks.
9. Identify opportunities for process improvement, efficiency enhancements, and cost reduction initiatives within the machining and fabrication processes.
