Empower Patient Wellness as a Nurse Practitioner in a Collaborative Outpatient Setting

Our company is focused on making a positive impact in the lives of those we serve. The Nurse Practitioner, operating under general supervision in an outpatient facility, plays a vital role in patient care, involving diagnosis, treatments, and consultations. Their tasks include educating patients on preventive care, administering prescribed treatments, conducting physicals, ordering tests, and acting as the primary healthcare provider within a collaborative treatment team.

Key Responsibilities:

Performs physical examinations, decides on the need for x-rays and laboratory tests for new and current patients
Interprets examination findings and test results, adjusts treatment plans accordingly
Gathers patient data through interviews, reviews comprehensive case histories
Delivers holistic healthcare to families, covering preventive medicine, behavioral sciences, and community health
Collaborates with healthcare practitioners for outpatient and inpatient care, participates in clinical procedures
Assists in medical care treatments directed by specialists, determines the need for consultations
Instructs healthcare providers on various health topics, including first-aid measures, cardiac life support, and healthcare maintenance
Job duties may evolve as needed by agency requirements

Qualifications:

Nurse Practitioner degree from an accredited nursing school
Active state license and DEA license in good standing
Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner (Physical Health and/or Psych experience preferred)
Proficiency with EMR systems
Valid and unrestricted Michigan Driver's License
Compassionate, Intelligent, Motivated, Team Player

Working Conditions:

Work involves the ability to have a flexible work schedule including evenings, weekends as needed.
