    Job Summary


    The System Cancer Services Administrator plays a pivotal role in ensuring that cancer care services are coordinated, consistent, and of high quality across the entire healthcare system, ultimately benefiting patients and their families.

    Responsibilities

    Strategic Planning:
    Developing and implementing strategic plans for cancer care services across the entire healthcare system

    2 Resource Allocation:
    Ensuring efficient allocation of resources, including staff, equipment, and funding, to different facilities and departments offering cancer care

    3 Quality Control:
    Establishing quality control measures and standards for cancer care services system-wide and monitoring compliance

    4 Collaboration:
    Facilitating collaboration and communication among various cancer care facilities, departments, and teams to streamline patient care

    5 Policy Development:
    Developing and implementing policies and procedures that ensure consistent and high-quality cancer care services

    6 Data Management:
    Overseeing the collection, analysis, and reporting of data related to cancer care outcomes, patient satisfaction, and cost-effectiveness

    7 Financial Management:
    Managing the budget for cancer services across the system, controlling costs, and optimizing revenue

    8 Regulatory Compliance:

    Ensuring that all facilities and departments within the system adhere to healthcare regulations and accreditation standards specific to cancer care.9.


    Patient and Family Support Programs:
    Implementing support programs and services that help patients and their families navigate the complex cancer care system

    10 Research and Innovation:
    Encouraging and supporting research and innovation in cancer care and treatment methods across the system

    11 Community Engagement:
    Engaging with the community to raise awareness, promote cancer prevention, and provide education on available services

    12 Performance Improvement:
    Identifying areas for improvement in cancer care services and implementing changes to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities


    Patient Group Knowledge (Only applies to positions with direct patient contact)The employee must possess/obtain (by the end of the orientation period) and demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide developmentally appropriate assessment, treatment or care as defined by the department's identified patient ages.

    Specifically the employee must be able to demonstrate competency in: 1) ability to obtain and interpret information in terms of patient needs; 2) knowledge of growth and development; and 3) understanding of the range of treatment needed by the patients.

    Competency StatementMust demonstrate competency through an initial orientation and ongoing competency validation to independently perform tasks and additional duties as specified in the job description and the unit/department specific competency checklist.

    Perform work in accordance with all departmental pay practices and scheduling policies, including but not limited to, overtime, various shift work, and on-call situations.7.

    Education


    • Bachelor's Degree (Required)

    Education:
    BS, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field and/or commensurate training and experience

    Experience:
    At least 5 years of experience in administrative management or a related field

    Comment:
    Strong analytical and writing skills.
    Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

    Strong knowledge of and expertise in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)Familiarity with database management and project management toolsAbility to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
