    Job Title: Senior Dosimetrist
    At Houston Methodist, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Dosimetrist to join our team. This individual will be responsible for designing treatment plans under the direction of Medical Physicists and Radiation Oncologists. The ideal candidate will have broad knowledge of radiation equipment and radioactive sources, as well as the ability to work with physicists to provide oversight and leadership for new treatment techniques.

    SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
    The Senior Dosimetrist position is a critical member of our radiation oncology team, requiring a high level of expertise in dosimetry and treatment planning. Key responsibilities include:
    • Designing complex treatment plans using various treatment modalities on different software platforms
    • Collaborating with Radiation Oncologists to develop treatment plans and achieve desired outcomes
    • Mentoring and teaching staff Dosimetrists and radiation therapists on aspects of dosimetry and treatment planning
    • Providing technical support to Dosimetrist and Radiation Therapist in radiation safety and protection, qualitative machine calibrations, quality assurance of treatment plans and radiation oncology equipment


    QUALIFICATIONS
    To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
    • A Graduate degree from an approved education program
    • Four years of experience as a Dosimetrist, or three years' experience as a Dosimetrist with progressive abilities
    • Certification as a Certified Medical Dosimetrist (MDCB)
