    Job Requirements:


    The Director is responsible for the overall management of the Medical Staff Services Department, which includes credentialing of the physicians and allied health professionals, development of departmental policies and procedures, development and maintenance of budget and maintaining compliance with all regulatory agency requirements and accrediting body standards.

    This individual acts as a resource to the physician and is a liaison between Administration and the Medical Staff. Coordinates the medical staff meetings with hospital departments and medical staff. Prepares agendas and PowerPoint presentations for medical staff meetings to include transcribing minutes. Communicates and coordinates with physicians, management team, and outside entities to facilitate credentials review.


    The Medical Staff Services Director is also responsible to provide support and assistance as needed, to the Post Doctoral Training Program.


    The Medical Staff Services Director is responsible for the management of all functions of the Medical Staff Services Department, which includes all physician-related issues in compliance with corporate guidelines, state and local regulations, the American Osteopathic Association and the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Hospitals.

    Qualifications


    Extensive medical background with five years' experience in Medical Staff Services required with CPCS and CPMSM Certification by the National Association of Medical Staff Services (NAMSS) preferred.

    Extensive knowledge and experience with post-doctoral training programs required.
    Demonstrated project management skills are required.
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills, detail oriented and organizational skills required.
    Bachelor's degree required.
