- Design plastic injection mold components for rigid plastics manufacturing using design software.
- Update, maintain and manage design files.
- Review and evaluate mold designs for error and enhancement, make design revisions as needed.
- Test product and new molded production design, apply product review validation, and revise if needed.
- Assist teams with troubleshooting for design, mechanical and machining errors.
- Lead and support special project teams in support of new product and tooling development from initial design to the final approval for production.
- Follow all safety processes and procedures.
- Report food safety issues to management.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in engineering is required.
- Previous experience in manufacturing is preferred.
- Previous experience using design software such as CAD is required.
- Must have strong analytical skills with the ability to apply mathematical concepts and use complex formulas.
- Ability to apply technical knowledge to process and communicate technical information to non-technical personnel.
- Superior organizational skills and the ability to assemble resources needed to orchestrate multiple projects/activities and accomplish goals.
- Ability to apply creative thinking to complex design needs.
- Capability to solve complex problems utilizing technical and critical thinking skills. · Ability to adapt in a changing environment with a personal sense of accountability.

*How would you contribute? *As an Injection Mold Design Engineer you are responsible for the design, develop or enhance proprietary and specialized tooling, product and equipment for the company. Determine and establish specifications utilizing engineering calculations and layouts and apply this to design work.
