Key Responsibilities
Provide safe, compassionate
labor and delivery nursing care
for
laboring patients ,
postpartum couplets , and
stable antepartum
patients
Support care for
newborns ,
pediatrics , and
GYN
patients; assist with
Med-Surg overflow
as needed
Serve as a
2nd RN
in the special care nursery (SCN) as needed;
L&D circulating RN
experience is a plus
Document accurately and efficiently in
Epic
and follow unit policies (including badging in/out)
Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and interdisciplinary team members to maintain patient flow and deliver
patient- and family-centered care
Utilize common unit equipment including Omnicell, Philips vitals machines, bladder scanner, breast pumps, call light system, and infusion pumps
