Research Associate/Research Implementation Specialist - CSON - Full Time
Working independently, under the supervision of the Associate Dean for Research and in collaboration with CSON Principal Investigator(s), the RIS provides support to teams conducting clinical and population based research studies. Specific activities are listed below.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist Principal Investigators in developing, organizing, and maintaining participant information database databases using various data capture software including REDCap, Qualtrics, etc. (including any individual training)
Assists in various research task in coordination with PI including: statistical help, data cleaning, table formatting, manuscript editing, proof-reading
Works in collaboration with Principal Investigator and their teams to develop and implement recruitment strategies and recruitment materials
In collaboration with Principal Investigators, assists submitting institutional review board documents, including modifications
Statistical help: May be required to perform data analysis, run associated reports and help in the development of key tables and central illustrations.
Performs literature searches, as appropriate
Maintains collaborative, team relationships with peers and colleagues. Attends meetings as required
All other duties as assigned
Competitive salary commensurate with relevant experience. Position beginning at 60% time with benefits, with possibility of fulltime in future academic years.
Requirements
Master's Degree in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, health services research, public health, or related field of study.
At least one year of work experience in a research setting involving human subjects. Sound independent judgment and competence in research methodologies. Previous experience in interventional trials would be a strong advantage. Experience collaborating with scientists who represent diversity in discipline, race, ethnicity, language or origin, gender, sexual orientation, and socioeconomic status.
