POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for Modeling, developing, and maintaining enterprise data warehouses using industry-standard ETL and Database tools. As a Data Warehouse Architect, you are responsible for gathering data elements from different sources and generating Data Warehouses for analytical consumption. You will be interacting with stakeholders throughout the organization and will assist in identifying and documenting requirements to deliver sustainable and effective data solutions. QUALIFICATIONS:

Required

• Minimum three (3) years of relevant work experience, including business requirements gathering, Data Warehouse Modeling, and Development.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Management Systems, Business Management, Statistics. In lieu of degree, two (2) years of practical professional experience in database administration, programming, or related IT fields..
• Proven experience effectively partnering with business teams to deliver their goals and outcomes by designing effective models and designs.
• Ability to communicate (read and write) effectively in a business environment in English, at an intermediate level
• Good interpersonal skills, with the keenness or experience of interacting with global teams of different cultures or nationalities.
• Strong organization and time management skills.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and assignments.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment within established systems and procedures.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
• Ability to work extended hours, weekends, and/or holidays as needed.

Preferred

• Ability to effectively communicate (read and write) in Spanish in a business environment, at an intermediate level.
• Experience, creating, and maintaining Data Warehouses.
• Experience with database technologies (SQL Server, Oracle, DB2).
• Experience with ETL technologies (Microsoft SSIS)
• Experience in software systems specific to the Maritime/Freight Forwarding industry (such as: ocean services, trucking, logistics, container and port terminals operations, warehouse management, etc.).

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Primary

• Design Data Warehouses for Analytical use.
• Develop, code, test, and deliver ETL processes for Data Warehousing.
• Create documentation for Database(s), ETL Processes with corresponding logic and required maintenance.
• Work with BI team to ensure accurate and complete testing; including assisting with determining test scenarios and acceptance criteria for the designs, data quality and reconciliation checks.
• Troubleshoot, analyze, research and resolve post-implementation reported issues.
• Record, track, and document the problem-solving process, including all successful and unsuccessful decisions made, and actions taken, through to final resolution.
• Develop and maintain an understanding of the business, business processes and systems used for business operations.

Secondary

• Assist in planning BI projects and setting realistic deadlines for completion.
• Work on special projects, as required.
• Performs additional related duties as assigned.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED:

Reports directly to the Business Intelligence Manager. Does not exercise supervision over any other position.

CONDITIONS:

• Indoors office. Exposed to controlled temperature and office environment.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
