    The Strategic Sourcing Team enables Zillow Group,(ZG), business and technology teams to run efficiently and scale. We are embedded within the Procurement and Financial Services team and act as an interface to other ZG shared services teams including Procurement, FP&A (financial planning & analysis), Accounts Payable, and Legal. We support the entire enterprise as our core customer base and work in a consultative approach to ensure their supplier stack is delivering. Lastly, we strive to facilitate our customers' contracting needs to ensure we Deliver Quality on Time, Every Time

    About the role

    Zillow's Strategic Sourcing team is looking for an expert, partner - focused Senior Sourcing Manager In this role, you will serve as a trusted advisor to the business, driving critical elements of the supplier relationship lifecycle, including planning, sourcing and negotiations support for sophisticated deals and owning supplier relationship management. You will manage current spend, financial commitments, and partner with various teams to forecast upcoming spend to support business needs. You will support your internal partners in analyzing and rationalizing technology and professional services deals. You will help build new sourcing and procurement processes and optimize our existing procedures. You will be a subject matter authority on our budgets, project spend, purchasing, and planning processes.
    • Lead sophisticated sourcing events/RFx's, facilitate contracting, and lead supplier relationships across your book of business
    • Research and identify savings and supplier optimization opportunities within Zillow's current and future services needs
    • Support technology and services engagements with cross-functional leadership and business teams to facilitate solution selection, supplier standards and strategies, business requirements, and priorities with minimal mentorship
    • Excel in peer-to-peer and executive level, fact-based and data-driven communications and recommendations, both internally and with suppliers
    • Cultivate positive relationships across the business and all levels to find solutions and have courage to put forth new insights and challenge biases
    • Analyze value proposition and total cost of ownership, understanding delineation of operating and capital expenditures, working with Finance partners
    • Develop and implement standard supplier agreements and relevant amendments, supplier management standard methodologies, and sourcing practices
    • Supervise and support ownership budget and associated actuals, supervising spend by supplier, team, project, and business unit
    • Lead sophisticated and cross-functional projects and process improvements across multiple partner teams and internally within Procurement and Financial Services
    • Act as a strategic advisor by being a knowledgeable and reliable resource to provide information and guidance to our partners
    • Mentor early career team members with difficult deals and standard methodologies
    • Build and own detailed reporting for internal customers regarding supplier relationships using metrics on savings, supplier diversity, sustainability, preferred supplier usage and supplier rationalization
    • Make recommendations for a supplier vision and strategy for a specified business unit or internal partner team
    • Find opportunities to rationalize suppliers and program strategies that deliver effective supplier use while considering risk, overall supplier mix and opportunities to invest in innovative or diverse supplier capabilities
    • Ensure adherence to policy, educate partners and suppliers on policy compliance
    • Support business adoption of supplier performance management standard methodologies
    This role has been categorized as a Remote position. "Remote" employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice which must be identified to the Company. Employees may live in any of the 50 US States, with limited exceptions. In certain cases, an employee in a remote-designated job may need to live in a specific region or time zone to support customers or clients as part of their role.

    In California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New York and Washington the standard base pay range for this role is $102, $163,600.00 Annually. This base pay range is specific to California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New York and Washington and may not be applicable to other locations.

    In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location.

    Who you are
    • The ideal candidate is a detail oriented, creative individual with a consistent record of ownership of technology suppliers and financial portfolios with the following skills:
    • 7+ years consistent record supporting complex deals with technology and services suppliers, sourcing events, handling vendors and budgets, and leading projects, preferably within large tech organizations; technology and sophisticated services category management experience is a plus
    • Strong negotiation and negotiation planning skills
    • Category knowledge across multiple categories which may include some of the following; Technology Software and Hardware, Marketing, Finance, HR, G+A, Facilities etc.
    • Leads with the stakeholder to develop outstanding trusted relationships with a strong sense of accountability and ownership
    • Expertise with the Strategic Sourcing Process and Sourcing Category Strategies
    • Ability to lead a project from start to finish and aim to completion while navigating an array of diverse collaborators spanning functions from technology to shared services
    • Highly proficient with data, systems, and tools i.e. Tableau, Scout RFP, Workday P2P, or similar
    • Superb communication and writing skills - able to adapt style to best suit the audience
    • Ability to identify risks, (Financial, Contractual, Security, Legal, Reputational, etc.), and work cross functionally to mitigate risk levels.
    • Connects the dots across multiple functions including finance, legal, contracts management and a wide variety of technology teams
    • Ability to understand both technical and business requirements from internal stakeholders
    • Consistent record to influence and build alignment with a diverse group of partners
    • Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment without losing focus on the details
    • A bias for action and courage when solving problems
