    Overview

    We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the transport of neonates and pediatric patients from referral facilities by ground.

    • The successful candidate will manage mechanical ventilation, arterial canalization, endotracheal intubation, and other procedures applicable to the field of respiratory care.
    • They will perform advanced practice skills as needed and collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to provide quality age/developmentally appropriate care.
    • Key responsibilities include adhering to general hospital standards, meeting patient care standards, promoting a safe and supportive environment during transport, providing respiratory therapies, completing documentation requirements, and ensuring continuity of care.
    • The ideal candidate will also provide educational enhancement to allied health practitioners and ensure age/developmentally appropriate patient care is provided in accordance with Age-Specific Care Guidelines.

    Requirements

    • Graduate of an AMA-approved two or four-year program for respiratory care, or satisfies the requirements in the admissions policies of the NBRC for registry examinations.
    • Two years of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist and two years' clinical experience with critical care patients (neonatal/pediatric preferred).
    • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), licensed to practice as an RCP in the state of Georgia.
    • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and International Trauma Life Support (ITLS) OR Pediatric ITLS certifications.
