    Job Description:

    • We are searching for a competent, experienced, and a hands-on CNC Machinist III to join our team.
    • In this role, the successful applicant will be responsible for setting up and operating a variety of numerically controlled CNC turning centers (lathes) and CNC mills.
    • Opportunities will be given to learn new machines if attitude and aptitude is demonstrated. (Ex: horizontal machining centers).
    • Duration of set-ups varies from 1 to 3 hours. After set-up, first piece inspection is done by Quality control lab and production begins. Running times vary depending on the job order.
    • You will be working in a production environment where all jobs have a measured standard production rate that needs to be met and you will be responsible for the quality of your own work.
    • Most tasks require good hand/eye coordination and the full range motion of both hands and arms on a regular and repetitive basis.

    Job Duties/Responsibilities:

    • Program (CNC), setup, and run production per requirements.
    • Handling of piece parts ranging in weight from 1lb. to 25 lbs.
    • Deburring and cleaning of parts using various hand and power tools such as a belt sander or drill press.
    • Inspection of parts visually and using various measurement tools such as height gauges and Vernier Calipers, micrometers etc.

    Skills/Qualifications:

    • Demonstrated ability to read basic blueprints and follow specific instructions and procedures.
    • Ability to organize, prioritize and plan daily work assignments in a self-directed changing environment.
    • Knowledge of basic shop math.
    • Ability to use measuring tools like height gauges, micrometers, dial indicators, Vernier calipers etc.
    • Understanding of metal-cutting applications and machine practices.
    • Basic understanding and editing of CNC programs – G&M codes as well as Mazatrol conversational programming.
    • Knowing programming is a BIG PLUS.
