    Mission: The equipment operator is responsible for, but not limited to; setup and operating a blast booth or similar equipment, shoveling or pouring Aluminum Oxide Grit or other abrasive material into the machine to operate, monitoring and maintaining an adequate supply of the abrasive in the hopper while adhering to safety standards. The equipment operator will also help with various general duties around the shop whenever necessary, including but not limited to; assisting shipping and receiving, making deliveries and pickups, cleaning equipment, shop cleaning, light facility maintenance as directed and assisting welding, machinist and mechanic operations.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Set up and operate a blast booth or similar equipment.
    • Load and unload the blast equipment.
    • Keep the work area clean and orderly and ensure any unsafe working conditions are corrected or reported immediately.
    • Always wear proper safety equipment and comply with company safety rules.
    • Maintain proper levels of spare parts.
    • Perform minor adjustments, daily preventative maintenance, or setups to equipment.
    • Produce consistent and quality finish according to specification.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Position Requirements:

    • Previous equipment operating like blasting experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
    • Must be able to read and interpret manufacturer and engineer's instructions.
    • Working knowledge on manual and power hand tools
    • Great communication with team members to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
    • Participate in training sessions on equipment operation techniques, safety protocols, and industry regulations
    • Strong mechanical aptitude
    • Ability to lift up to 50lbs
    • Must possess a valid drivers license

    Education and Experience:

    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • A combination of education and experience will also be considered
    • Previous experience operating heavy machinery or equipment
    • Strong understanding of safety regulations and ability to implement safety procedures
    • Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
