    The Maitre D' is the first and last person a guest will interact with in the restaurant. Therefore, it is imperative that the first and last impression a guest will have is positive, gracious, and professional.

    As the supervisor of the dining room and host team, constant communication with the kitchen and managers is key to a successful dining service. Responsibilities include:

    • Welcoming guests at the door with enthusiasm and providing excellent communication throughout their visit.
    • Managing reservations and maximizing seating capacity to ensure a seamless dining experience.
    • Ensuring high-quality social media interactions from the front door, with a goal of 4.5 or higher ratings.
    • Approaching and greeting guests proactively, rather than waiting for them to approach.
    • Greeting guests at their table while providing welcoming service and ensuring a smooth dining experience.
    • Saying goodbye to all guests and extending an invitation to return soon.

    Additional responsibilities include overseeing daily restaurant reservations, pre-assigning seating as needed, communicating with Restaurant Reservations regarding special orders and requests, answering the restaurant telephone courteously and efficiently, and escorting guests to tables and assisting in seating.

    The Maitre D' will also be responsible for resolving guest complaints, maintaining positive guest relations at all times, monitoring and maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of assigned work areas, and maintaining complete knowledge of scheduled daily activities and in-house groups.

    Requirements for this role include:

    • At least 3 years of hospitality sales and management experience.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Excellent critical thinking and decision-making skills.
    • Ability to maintain tact and composure under pressure.
    • Able to work flexible hours, including off-hours, weekends, and holidays.
    • Effective communication in English, both oral and written.
    • Professional and polished appearance and demeanor.

    Preferred qualifications include at least 3 years of host person experience in a high-volume and/or upscale dining environment, a high school diploma or equivalent, and previous experience working in a similar resort setting.
