    Description

    Our client is a mid-sized, successful, family-owned CPG company. They are seeking a Human Resources Manager who will play a key role in shaping the employee experience while fostering a positive work culture. They are seeking someone adaptable and team-oriented, who thrives in a collaborative environment. As a key partner, you'll work closely with management and employees to drive talent management efforts, including recruitment, retention, performance management, and more.

    This position is 5 days a week onsite in offices either in Nashville, IL or St. Louis, MO. Weekly travel is expected between the two offices.

    Responsibilities

    Recruitment and Hiring

    • Develop and enhance recruitment and retention efforts.
    • Recruit and proactively search for top talent for all levels to ensure both short-term and long-term talent management approach.
    • Assist in the creation of people strategies and design approaches for diagnosing and enhancing organizational effectiveness and employee satisfaction.

    Benefits and Compliance

    • Maintain and continuously enhance knowledge of HR policies, programs, laws, and issues across the various states in which The Republic of Tea operates.
    • Serve as a legal compliance resource for the company, taking actions and maintaining accurate records to ensure compliance with all federal and applicable state regulations.
    • Address and manage individual benefit questions regarding FMLA, disability, leaves, tracking, 401k, EAP, COBRA, etc.

    Program and Performance Management

    • Manage employee focused programs at the office/location level in key areas including staffing, orientation, onboarding, offboarding, engagement, training, performance, and promotions.
    • Educate and partner with managers on performance management and employee development goals.
    • Help develop and drive HR programs, such as our wellness program, our make-a-difference days, trainings, and learning & development opportunities.

    Employee Engagement

    • Provide counsel to employees and managers; working proactively to suggest solutions to solve problems.
    • Provide HR expertise in the areas of feedback, employee relations, coaching, and organizational development.
    • Recommend relevant retention strategies.

    Collaborative Partnerships

    • Collaborate with HR team to champion and accelerate a culture in which people feel engaged and inspired to achieve top results.
    • Partner on core HR processes (e.g., performance calibration, compensation cycle, promotions, etc.)

    HRIS Management

    • Determine and recommend HRIS solutions and strategy.
    • Analyze employee reports (e.g., compensation, job levels, and attrition) to guide decision-making and provide proactive solutions.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or related field.
    • 5+ years of related HR experience - managing both exempt and non-exempt employees
    • Demonstrated ability with programs within the talent life cycle.
    • Proficient in MS Office Suite.
    • Working knowledge of HRIS.
    • Travel to remote sites up to 25% of the time.
    • HR Project Management Experience.
    • Experience in multi-state employment laws (federal, state, and local).
    • PHR Certification or SHRM-CP, a plus.

    Compensation and Benefits

    • $80,000 - $110,000 depending on experience, plus bonus
