    POSITION SUMMARY

    As the Operations Specialist, your primary responsibility is to oversee and maintain the team, inventory, and operations of our facility in strict adherence to company policies and procedures.

    Your role is pivotal in ensuring that every customer receives outstanding service while efficiently managing facility resources.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
    Facility Maintenance
    Supervise facility maintenance activities to ensure a clean, safe, and organized environment.
    Ensure equipment and tools are up to company standards and are OSHA compliant. (Forklifts, clamps, rigging, A-frames, and all other equipment)
    Conduct and complete weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly inspections and reports.
    Facility Safety
    Implement and enforce safety programs and compliance measures.
    Train new and existing employees in standard operating procedures and proper safety methods.
    Manage and ensure all warehouse staff have Forklift training and are appropriately certified.
    Conduct and attend regular operations and safety meetings.
    Warehouse Operations
    Manage warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, and order fulfillment.
    Ensure optimal organization and efficient utilization of warehouse space.
    Management and organization of labeling and distributing the in-house sample program
    Management of 0perational infrastructure maintenance.
    Assist with and manage showroom upgrades or construction process as needed.
    Ensure all customer, supplier, and vendor interaction meets company standards.
    Serve as liaison with counterparts and key personnel within the company.
    Coordinate and execute client product viewing.
    Other Duties as assigned
    Inventory Control
    Oversee inventory management, including accurate tracking, cycle counts, and replenishment.
    Minimize inventory discrepancies and maintain inventory accuracy.
    Responsible for all aspects of inventory management and inventory inspection.
    Ensure inventory is organized in all customer display areas
    Maintain proper slab numbering and labeling to ensure accuracy.
    Perform inventory audits and cycle counts.
    Ensure that high-quality photographs of slabs and tile are taken upon arrival.
    Load photographs to Dropbox for tile and slabs.
    Deliveries and Logistics
    Coordinate deliveries and logistics, ensuring timely and accurate distribution of products.
    Ensure delivery schedules meet the needs of both internal and external parties.
    Coordinate and maintain transfers between locations.
    Optimize delivery routes and minimize transportation costs.
    Coordinate local and out-of-state deliveries by gathering quotes, negotiating rates, and handling logistics.
    Material/Slab inspection on incoming shipments for quality, complete proper documentation of all material claims and damage.
    Supervision of Personnel
    Oversee scheduling of warehouse personnel, drivers, and showroom personnel for client viewings, shipping and receiving.
    Lead, train, and supervise assigned personnel, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
    Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching and feedback.
    Approve timecards for warehouse personnel.

    QUALIFICATIONS
    Bachelor's degree in business management, operations, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
    Strong leadership and team management skills.
    Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
    Knowledge of inventory management practices and software.
    Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant software applications.
    Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
    Commitment to safety and quality standards.
    PREFERRED
    QUALIFICATIONS
    Certification in safety management or related field.
    Familiarity with logistics and supply chain management.
    Knowledge of DOT and OSHA regulations and FMCSA.
    Working knowledge of the marble/granite industry.
    Experience operating sit-down forklifts.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
    Bachelor's degree in business management, operations, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
    5+ years proven experience in facility management, operations, or warehouse management.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT
    Must be able to lift 25+ lbs.
    Ability to work outside in all weather conditions, including seasonally hot or cold and inclement weather.
