Sunbelt staffing is looking for an experienced PCU Nurse for a travel assignment in Johnson City, Tennessee

Key Responsibilities:

1. Patient Assessment and Monitoring:
   • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' medical conditions, including vital signs, neurological status, cardiac rhythm, and respiratory status.
   • Continuously monitor patients' progress and promptly identify any signs of deterioration or improvement in their condition.
   • Utilize specialized monitoring equipment and interpret data to assess patients' responses to treatment.
2. Treatment and Intervention:
   • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established protocols.
   • Perform complex nursing procedures such as titrating vasoactive medications, managing ventilators, and providing specialized wound care.
   • Implement evidence-based interventions to promote optimal patient outcomes and prevent complications.
3. Collaborative Care Planning:
   • Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans based on patients' needs and goals.
   • Participate in interdisciplinary rounds to discuss patient progress, treatment plans, and discharge readiness.
   • Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding their conditions, treatments, and self-care strategies.

Qualifications:

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Certification in Progressive Care Nursing (PCCN) or Critical Care Nursing (CCRN) preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in acute care nursing, preferably in a progressive care or step-down unit.
