    Description

    Position Summary:

    This position assists with the preparation and review of accurate and timely tax filings (i.e., federal, state, others), and substantiates the filings through complete and organized supporting work paper documentation. Supports all Orlando Health tax functions. Assists in tax planning activities. Assists with collecting and analyzing data for both internal and external tax compliance review activities.

    Responsibilities:

    Essential Functions

    • Assist with the preparation and review of federal (i.e., Forms 990, 990-T, 1120 and 1065), state and local informational and tax returns for Orlando Health and affiliated entities.
    • Assist in the preparation and filing of monthly sales tax and annual tangible personal property tax returns.
    • Prepare and maintain complete and accurate work paper documentation.
    • Help ensure that tax payments are made in accordance with deadlines established by tax authorities.
    • Stay abreast of current tax developments and compliance issues to help ensure Orlando Health remains tax compliant in all of its activities.
    • Assist with the collecting and analyzing of data for entity and/or system-wide tax planning.
    • Assist with the development and support of other departments across the organization.
    • Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the Corporate Tax Director and/or Corporate Tax Managers

    Qualifications:

    Education/Training

    • Bachelors degree in accounting required.
    • Masters degree in business administration or accountancy with emphasis in taxation preferred.

    Licensure/Certification

    • Certified Public Accountant preferred.

    Experience

    • Minimum of two (2) years of relevant Public Accounting experience.
    • Experience with federal, state and local tax return preparation, including corporate and/or partnership tax returns.
