    Join the US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) as a Border Patrol Agent (BPA). We are seeking experienced individuals to serve in various sectors along our borders. As a BPA, you will be part of our team that safeguards America's security and prosperity.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Detect and question suspects of immigration and customs law violations
    • Prevent and apprehend aliens smugglers at or near borders
    • Inspect documents possessions for citizenship violation tracking marks physical evidence illegal entry persons contraband

    You will undergo rigorous training including firearms proficiency serving court orders gathering evidence investigating crimes performing farm checks building traffic city patrols transportation checks patrolling international boundaries coastal waterways using government assets vehicles horses vessels off road ATVs snowmobiles motorcycles work closely with other agencies build trust within communities participate border operations provide life saving assistance daily challenges operate independently self motivated critical thinking sound judgment communicate effectively manage stress
    The ideal candidate possesses one year specialized experience equivalent next lower grade level such duties: conducting thorough searches detained individuals their surroundings weapons contraband currency receiving intelligence information leading investigations making arrests enforcing laws developing maintain contact network informants relevant laws regulations considering consequences risky actions swift decisive manner paramount depending circumstances secure prompt resolution efficiently safety all parties involved overcome obstacles strategically focus attention details materials investigated determined controversial exposed environment outgoing non intrusive neat tidy .
