- Reports to the Executive Director or assigned personnel after each patient interaction, updating on the patient's status or surroundings.
- Assists with various activities of daily living (ADLs) during visits such as mobility, grooming, bathing, dressing, eating, or toileting.
- Performs essential household tasks necessary for the patient's well-being at home to avoid institutionalization when required.
- Engages in the QAPI process, identifying issues and updating administrators as needed.
- Provides emotional support and compassionate care to patients and families regularly.
- Completion of a competency assessment before providing patient care.
- Current CPR certification.
- Valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to reliable transportation.
- For GA: Must meet one of the following criteria: Georgia certified nursing aide with current certification, or completion of a 75-hour home health aide training program at a Medicare-certified agency with documented validation.
- Maturity and ability to handle the responsibilities of a hospice aide role effectively.
- Reading, writing, and executing directions promptly and accurately.

The Hospice Aide, working under the guidance of a registered nurse, delivers direct patient care services as outlined in the Care Plan on a daily basis.
