    What you'll do:
    This is a great opportunity for a Therapist to join our dynamic department in the City of Maricopa. (The city of Maricopa, in Pinal county, is 25 miles southwest of Chandler, AZ).
    In this position, you will utilize your experience to provide direct clinical service including individual, family, and group therapy for families, youth and adults. Job responsibilities include facilitation of individual and family counseling, performing clinical liaison duties for assigned clients, ensuring quality service delivery, including clinical care and all associated duties, maintaining all client records in accordance with agency policies and procedures, including appropriate intake and risk assessments, diagnosis, service planning, progress notes, discharge planning, termination documentation, and inter-agency reports. You will be attending meetings and training as requested. This position is forty hours per week with the need for flexible hours as may be needed to accommodate the schedules of families.
    What you'll provide:
    • Master's degree required. Course of Study: Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, Social Work, or directly related field.
    • Licensure preferred but not required: Must be eligible for licensure.
    • Experience working with GMHSA, SMI and Children services preferred.
    • Experience or knowledge of Best Practice therapeutic approaches.
    • Must be organized and reliable, have knowledge of community resources, be trauma-informed, and be able to individualize treatment.
    • Must have a valid AZ driver's license, with no infractions for the past 3 years so you will be approved by our insurance carrier for liability insurance.
    • Must have regular access to reliable transportation.
    • Bi-lingual (Spanish) preferred. Differential per hour available.
    • Must be at least 21 years of age at time of employment.
    Additional Requirements and Responsibilities:
    • Demonstrated ability to remain calm in crisis situations, work independently and cooperatively, recognize personal limitations, and relate positively and with empathy to all persons regardless of age, race, creed, gender or sexual orientation.
    • Maintain professional conduct consistent with ethical professional practice and the policies and procedures of the agency.
    • Maintain a professional demeanor and positive working relationships with internal and external team members, stakeholders, and community and business partners.
    • If driving while on agency time or on agency business, a valid Arizona driver license and appropriate liability insurance and approval for liability coverage with EMPACT - SPC's liability insurance carrier is required. At time of hire, a 3-year state driving record with no major infractions or excessive driving violations/tickets is required.
