Job description
Our client, a pharma/drug manufacturing firm, is seeking a Validation Engineer to join their team. As a Validation Engineer, you will be part of the Product/Process Engineering Team supporting Manufacturing.The ideal candidate will have strong experience in the ability to validate new equipment and revalidate existing equipment, IQ/OQ the test equipment and then manage testing.
Candidates will also write, then test procedures IQ/OQ's then implement them. This position is a contract status role to start with intent of eventual conversion to direct hire status.The client is not open to candidates with visa requirements and candidates local to the Milwaukee, WI metro area will be given strongest consideration that those from outside the area.

Key Responsibilities
Collaborates closely with Chemical Development, Production, Quality, and other cross-functional teams.
Manages the transfer of assigned products and/or new processes into manufacturing.
Prepares, reviews, and supports execution of Batch Log Records and Cleaning Log Records.
Trains production personnel on Batch Log Records, Cleaning Log Records, and validation protocols.
Provides technical support to manufacturing operations for assigned products.
Monitors manufacturing performance, costs, yields, and cycle times; identifies and implements cost-reduction and efficiency-improvement initiatives.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering preferred
Supports equipment specification, qualification, and validation activities, including IQ/OQ.
0–5 years of hands-on experience in a pharmaceutical or fine chemical batch manufacturing environment preferred.
Familiarity with SAP, Visalia and Blue Mountain maintenance systems is a plus.
Working knowledge of cGMP regulations is strongly preferred.
