Position Overview

DigiCert is seeking to hire a Software Engineering Manager based in our Sunnyvale, CA office.

As a Software Engineering Manager, you will lead a team of software engineers to design, develop, test, and deliver high-quality software solutions.

This role requires a balance of technical expertise, leadership skills, and project management capabilities to ensure the successful execution of software development projects.

Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of software engineers.
Foster a positive and collaborative team culture.
Provide guidance on technical issues and contribute to skill development within the team.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and define technical solutions.
Ensure the team follows best practices in software development, coding standards, and testing methodologies.
Implement and enforce quality assurance processes to ensure the delivery of reliable and scalable software solutions.
Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies.
Promote technical and operational achievement by developing measurements and methods for evaluation and advancement.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including product managers, other engineering teams, and upper management.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience (15+ total years) in software development and team management.
Proficiency in one or more programming languages (Java, Go, C++) and a strong grasp of software development principles.
Knowledge of both relational (MySQL, MariaDB) and NoSQL/non-relational (Cassandra) databases.
Familiarity with agile software-development methodology, such as Agile or Scrum.
Preferred knowledge of PKI infrastructure.
Preferred experience working with Cryptography API.
Preferred experience with Git, JIRA, IDEs (Eclipse, MS Visual Studio).

Salary range $190,000 - $225,000 (actual salary offered to a candidate within this range will depend on a variety of factors including relative levels of experience and education, years in this or essentially similar role, market competition, etc.)
