Sonographer/Ultrasound Technologist | Adult Echocardiography (AE)

Duration: April 22, 2024, to July 20, 2024

Shift Times: 08:30:00 AM - 05:00:00 PM, Monday - Friday (No weekends required)

Work Sites:

Home Base: Yorktown Hts, NY 10598

Travel to Chappaqua location 1x/week

Required Qualifications:

Degree from an accredited Diagnostic Echocardiogram program (required), RDCS (AE)

RDCS (AE) - Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer with Adult Echocardiography specialty - through ARDMS -OR-

RCS - Registered Cardiac Sonographer through CCI

Minimum 1 year of experience, including stress tests

Experience working with the adult population

Job Responsibilities:

Prepare and position patients and equipment for accurate echocardiogram exams.

Obtain pertinent imaging and diagnostic reports required for correlation with echocardiogram exams being performed; consult with referring physicians regarding patient history and to determine appropriate images required.

Perform echocardiography procedures, including transesophageal echocardiography, as required, and obtain proper views and images utilizing appropriate techniques.

Identify the significance of all structures visualized on the oscilloscope and differentiate artifacts from normal or pathological processes.

Analyze sonographic data and other pertinent observations made during exams; correlate clinical history to ensure appropriate procedures are performed.

Monitor patients during the entire examination and report changes in condition.

Document test results in the patient's medical record and report findings to physicians, discussing any need for further evaluation with the physician.
