- Act autonomously to guide a team of designers in developing high-bar, impactful marketing creative from brief to delivery.
- Coordinate and co-draft strategic creative briefs, defining a top-level creative vision (within brand guidelines) and prompts that drive strategic design development, interpreting and clarifying stakeholder feedback, directing appropriate design revisions, and overseeing the delivery of final creative assets.
- Succinctly and professionally present to stakeholders as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in a related creative field (design, advertising, etc.)
- 4+ years minimum professional experience at an in-house team or creative agency
- 4+ years' experience managing designers, including brand, motion, and web design.
- A strategic design portfolio that demonstrates your design process from ideation to implementation, and ability to lead designers to deliver high-bar creative collateral.
- A deep knowledge of visual design principles including layout, typography, color, and composition.

Description
Reporting to the Vice President of Brand & Creative, the Design Director leads (but does not people-manage) the design work streams of the design team, as they deliver high-bar creative assets for marketing campaigns, collateral, email, event signage, swag, and more. They collaborate with stakeholders across Brand, Copy, Product- and Growth-Marketing teams to interpret and draft creative briefs; determine the best creative approaches for achieving results within established brand guidelines and/or templates, and coordinate with project managers to outline and oversee contributions from design team members. Throughout the life of a project, they intentionally guide work to the desired creative outcome through clear and focused design feedback. The ideal candidate is a skilled designer and experienced design director, with a portfolio demonstrating an attention to design detail and exceptional craft.
