Summary of the position: As a CDS (Consumer Directed Services) PCA (Personal Care Attendant) you work directly with individuals on Missouri Medicaid who have been approved by the State of Missouri to receive paid assistance for daily living activities so they can remain in their home. As a PCA, you are naturally talented anticipating the needs of an individual and possess above-average emotional health allowing you to receive instruction directly from the individual you are assisting.

Compensation: Up to $11.00hr, pay determined by CDS Consumer

Required Hours: Sunday - Monday, hours determined by CDS Consumer.

Responsibilities:

• Be physically able to assist an individual with varying abilities in bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, medication management, transferring, meal preparation/feeding, housekeeping, errand transportation

Minimum Qualifications:

A Missouri Medicaid CDS Consumer can hire up to four personal care attendants and an attendant can be any qualified caregiver chosen by the individual including family members (other than a spouse). A CDS Program Consumer is the legal employer of his/her personal care attendant and are responsible for interviewing, hiring, scheduling and directing their PCA's. Personal Care attendants do NOT work for Scripted Healthcare or Access Personal Care. We do, however, ensure compliance with Medicaid rules and process the payroll for the CDS Consumer .

• Pass a background check through the Missouri Family Care Safety Registry (FCSR) and the Missouri Employee Disqualification List.
• Be eligible to work through the U.S. Department of Homeland Security E-Verify system.

What If I Already Work For A CDS Consumer As A PCA?
We would encourage you to speak with your CDS Consumer and have them transfer to Access Personal Care in order for them to take advantage of our higher pay range for you as their PCA.
