    Description

What's the fastest game bird in Europe? This was the question that inspired the founding of Guinness World Records back in 1955. Starting with a single book published from a room above a gym, GWR has grown to become a global multimedia brand, with offices in London, New York, Beijing, Tokyo and Dubai. Today, we deliver world-class content, not just through books, but via TV shows, social media and live events.

This role is integral to Guinness World Records for maintaining record integrity and prestige. The Records Executive will be responsible for decisions on record attempts and record proposals for our B2B clients in the Americas. This includes but is not limited to: reviewing record proposals, opening and approving new record titles by conducting thorough research, to create and design record attempts that suit the needs of our company, to write the official guidelines for record attempts, to communicate with clients, to evaluate evidence to support world record claims, to adjudicate (i.e. judging) and validate records, and actively participate in creative brainstorms.

The records executive is also one of the clients' first point of contact with Guinness World Records and is expected to deliver the highest standards of professional customer care. The role includes communicating with record organizers and ensuring guidelines are met as well as occasionally, travelling to record attempts to act as the official Adjudicator, or Project Manager. They must also be in daily contact with other GWR departments to contribute to the creation of record categories, evaluating attempts, creation of content, and the promotion and visibility of all Guinness World Records B2B products in the Americas.

Your days will be varied and you'll build knowledge in topics you never imagined, so if you have an objective approach to problem solving and have a thirst to continuously learn then this could be the job for you

Also the bird was the Golden Plover. In case you were wondering...
