    JOB OPENING

    OPERATIONS MANAGER - METER SHOP

    EXEMPT FULL-TIME FLEXIBLE SCHEDULE

    SALARY RANGE: $62,000 - $89,380

    REQUIREMENTS:

    1. Requires extensive knowledge of the basic principal practices, and techniques of traffic and parking regulations.
    2. Knowledge of supervisory techniques.
    3. Knowledge of state, county, municipal laws, and local zoning ordinances pertaining to parking operations.
    4. Ability to lay out and regulate on-street parking for meters and/or regulatory signage installations.
    5. You must have strong PC skills and familiarity with Word, Excel and Meter Maintenance software, hardware and the ability to train staff on such systems.
    6. Ability to establish and enforce safety standards and/or safe operating procedures.
    7. Ability to prepare clear and concise reports.
    8. Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally.
    9. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, other agencies, government officials and the public.
    10. Ability to perform duties under sometimes adverse conditions, such as inclement weather, traffic fumes and noise.
    11. Must have a valid State of Florida Driver's License and have a clean driving record.
    12. Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs.

    DUTIES:

    1. Manages section budget.
    2. Performs general maintenance functions.
    3. Schedules and assigns skilled and semi-skilled employees and tradesmen to various facilities to perform the necessary functions.
    4. Recommend preventive maintenance programs as well as a repair methodology.
    5. Reviews maintenance work performed by subordinates and contractors.
    6. Prepares annual performance reviews for all employees in the department.
    7. Schedules and monitors preventive on all department vehicles and powered equipment.
    8. Monitors fuel consumption of the department and facilities.
    9. Seeks and evaluate competitive bids for repair work to be contracted.
    10. Prepares reports concerning existing conditions and recommends necessary repair action.
    11. Interview prospective employees to fill vacant positions.
