    Position Overview:

    Performs 2-D M-mode and cardiac Doppler, exercise echo and TEE procedures. Assists in preparation of contrast studies. Performs clerical duties. Enters charges for services and prepares reports. Provides after hour and weekend coverage on a rotational basis.

    Job Description:

    EDUCATION
    Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.

    Associate's: AA degree from school of Cardiovascular Technology preferred.

    Other: Minimum two years college or training at approved school of Cardiovascular Technology.

    CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE

    BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider

    RCS-Registered Cardiac Sonographer

    PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AS TYPICALLY ACQUIRED IN:

    Minimum 1 year experience as Cardiology technician in Cardiac and/or Echocardiography service.

    Experience performing Treadmill, Holter and SAECG studies preferred.

    SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

    Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of cardiovascular anatomy, pathophysiology, electrophysiology, and congential anatomies.

    Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of cardiovascular ultrasound techniques and modalities.

    Demonstrates expertise in echocardiographic techniques and modalities

    Works effectively and positively with other employees.

    Performs well under stress and time constraints.

    Maintains professional communication with all levels of staff.

    Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability.

    Works effectively with patient population.

    Demonstrates commitment to customer service and promotes a positive perception of the department and hospital.

    Observes the department dress and grooming code and standards and consistently wears identification badge.

    Possible defibrillation hazard.

    Possible biomechanical strain.

    Exposure to biohazards.

    Pay Range is $64.06 to $78.73 / hour

    The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location.
