Job Type Full-timeDescriptionPosition: Material HandlerReports to: Operations ManagerBasic summary of the job: Loads, unloads, and moves materials with the use of forklifts, overhead crane, or by handEssential (primary) functions including but not limited to:Load material into customer vehicles and secure to prevent shifting during transit Unload, color code, and store material received through outside vendors via railcar or truckRecord items received on warehouse receiver form Pull customer orders for loaders and record tickets, line items and weight on activity logOperate forklift and/or overhead crane to move materialsComplete first article process on all ordersDrive tractor trailers on company propertyAdhere to the Quality Policy at all times.

Must be trained in all Quality procedures relating to specific job assignmentFollow all safety proceduresRequirementsRequired education/work experience:
High school diploma/GED preferredPrevious warehouse experience with forklift and overhead cranes preferredNecessary (required) skills:Must know how to read tape measure accuratelyGood basic math skills including whole numbers, fractions and decimalsAbility to prioritize tasks and handle multiple tasks simultaneously


PHYSICAL ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Must be able to walk, stand, sit, and apply all motor functions in order to perform the job. May be required to lift up to 50 pounds, operate overhead cranes and forklift.
