ResponsibilitiesThe SIS Engineer supports the design, reliability, and proper operation of SIS throughout the plant.

Draws from their extensive industry experience and principles from multiple engineering disciplines to validate all aspects of the safety design.

Assure the availability of the SISs, drives improvements in documentation and Operations compliance with bypassing policies, and ensures on-time completion of required periodic testing.

Support the PHA, MOC, and Incident Investigation processes.
Evaluate Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) reports for change impacts to SIFs.
Design and implement new SISs or modifications to existing SISs including logic configuration, instrument wiring design, and instrument specification.

RequirementsThe SIS Engineer will have a BS degree with a relevant engineering major.5 + years experience with dedicated safety logic solver systems in a process industry.

Layers of Protection Analysis (LOPA) methodology.
Causal analysis investigation experience e.g. RCA, Causal Learning, TOP, TapRoot, etc.
Triconex and / or Honeywell experience a strong plus.
