DESCRIPTION OF THE TERRITORY SALES EXECUTIVE ROLE
Cepheid is passionate about improving healthcare through fast, accurate diagnostic testing. As a Territory Sales Executive for the Houston Texas market, you will be responsible for driving highly sophisticated sales in hospitals and introducing new diagnostic concepts. Your goal will be to establish professional relationships with key personnel in customer accounts and increase revenue by growing market share and reducing customer attrition.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with laboratory, pharmacy, infection control, nursing management, emergency department, risk management, and physician partners within the Acute healthcare market.
+ Drive demand for and adoption of new assays and instrumentation to deliver on quarterly & annual orders and revenue sales targets.
+ Optimize cycle time by using Salesforce.com (CRM tool) to maintain customer and account activity, map visibility, and drive market share.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
+ Bachelor's degree in a field with 5+ years of related healthcare sales experience, preferably in laboratory diagnostics.
+ Proven sales success, specifically in selling premium-priced products.
+ Experience engaging multiple call points within the hospital, including both laboratory and outside-of-the-laboratory.
+ Ability to pass vendor credentialing requirements.

TRAVEL AND MOTOR VEHICLE RECORD REQUIREMENTS
+ Ability to travel 50% of the time and reside within the assigned territory.
