    Job Description Salary:


    We are looking for an in-house, Human Resource Professional to handle a variety of the day-to-day responsibilities and ensure all aspects of compliance, employee relations, recruitment, compensation and benefits, performance management, development, and personnel recordkeeping in compliance with local, state, and federal laws, supporting the strategic initiatives of the company while investigating and recommending strategies.

    As both a leader and hands-on generalist, the HR Manager will build HR practices working from a solid foundation of a company with more than a quarter century foundation and a census of 70-90 employees.

    We are not necessarily looking for the top expert in the field, but the right fit that will work as a team with our in-house Safety/Operations Director and Payroll Manager promoting a culture of excellent service.

    This role reports to executive management and involves the following:
    Full employment cycle management
    Experience in benefit administration and management
    Familiarity with Davis-Bacon wage structure
    Organization of internal HR employee data
    Evaluation and recommendations of current HR policies
    Operational stringency, process improvement
    Matrix development to evaluate performance
    Excels in ambiguity, autonomy
    Diverse recruiting experience
    Company research and data-driven analysis to recommend actions, facilitating informed decision making
    Experience with HRIS, QB, and MS Office Suite proficiency
    Succession planning
    Build and maintain healthy intercompany cross-functional partnerships
    Ability to navigate a high-paced, changing, growing environment and flourish
    Some travel included
    Professional functionality in a professional but casual workplace


    This position requires:
    Minimum of Associate in HR, Business Admin, or related field
    2-5 years of progressive experience in the HR field
    Ability to travel (20% of time)
    SHRM or comparable certification
    QB, HRIS, MS Office Suite proficiency
    Davis-Bacon wage structure preferred
    Experience with a roadway construction, rehabilitation, maintenance service company preferred
