    Role: Electrical Design EngineerClient: DOD-AerospaceLocation: Minneapolis, MNDuration: 6-month contract w/ possible extension

    Hourly Rate:

    Position Description:


    Performs design and drafting of both electrical and mechanical aspects of electrical/electronic equipmentDesigns wiring harnesses and performs layout drawing and checking of schematic diagramsMakes wiring diagrams from schematic diagrams and vice versaPerforms overall line replaceable unit (LRU) chassis and housing design/drafting, including overall system packagingSelects LRU/wiring harness components such as electrical connectors, accessories, wire, shielding, shield terminators, terminal lugs, etc.

    Produces schematic diagrams and/or CAD drawings for submission to customers, plant operations, or outside vendors to produce specified LRUs/wiring harnesses and cable assembliesOutput must be able to be entered directly into data management configuration controlRequired Skills:

    Proficient in working with electrical/electronic systems of military ground vehiclesManages the entire design process, from concept development to validation of simple sub-systemsUtilizes advanced modeling and analysis tools to develop comprehensive product specifications and integration proceduresDemonstrates expert proficiency in CAD drafting/modeling and design techniquesSkilled in designing and routing wiring harnesses/cable assemblies, and producing detailed wiring harness/cable assembly drawingsExperienced in drawing generation using Creo Pro-Cable, with a minimum of 2 years of experienceFamiliarity with MIL-STD-100, ANSI Y14.5/14.

    41, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)

    Knowledgeable in wire routing utilizing Logical Data from Mentor GraphicsPossesses a working understanding of military electrical connector and cabling specificationsAble to create wiring harness schematics with Visio TechnicalThrives in the Integrated Product Team (IPT) environment, showcasing highly cooperative teamwork and excellent oral and written communication skillsRequired Experience & Education:
