    Job Title: NICET II Fire Sprinkler Technician

    We are seeking a highly skilled and certified NICET II Fire Sprinkler Technician to join our team at EMI Services, a subsidiary of TechFlow. As a NICET II Fire Sprinkler Technician, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and replacing fire sprinkler devices in residential and commercial facilities.

    Job Description:

    The primary responsibility of the Fire Sprinkler Technician is to ensure that all fire safety systems meet or exceed industry standards and regulations. This includes performing inspections, repairs, and maintenance tasks on fire pump systems, waterflow switches, tamper switches, and other related equipment.

    You will work closely with our team to provide prompt and reliable service to our clients, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standard of quality and safety.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Cut, thread, assemble and bond all pipes and tubes to ensure they pass every fire inspection
    • Perform inspections to ensure Fire Sprinkler systems are according to code
    • Perform Preventive Maintenance and repairs
    • Complete detailed inspection reports
    • Provide preliminary cost estimates for materials and services
    • Maintain current license and identification to meet government regulations
    • Respond to emergency service calls

    Essential Skills:

    • Knowledge of applicable state and federal laws and building codes and regulations
    • Proficiency in the use of test equipment (multi-meters and digital analyzers)
    • Knowledge of all fire safety codes and regulations
    • Able to read and understand installation manuals
    • Adaptable and flexible in work situations
    • Prioritizes tasks to ensure completion in a timely manner
    • Practices workplace safety in the use of tools, equipment, and supplies used in repair of HVAC equipment

    Requirements:

    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • 3+ years of experience - MUST include industrial or commercial facilities
    • NICET II certification
    • Working knowledge of NFPA standards (including 70 and 72)
    • Valid driver's license
    • Pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check
    • Regular, dependable attendance
    • U.S citizenship to obtain and maintain access to military installations

    Physical Requirements:

    • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs unassisted
    • Use of hands, reaching with hands and arms, talking, and walking
    • Prolonged periods of sitting, bending, squatting, standing, twisting, or stooping
    • Climbing ladders and entering confined spaces
    • May spend long hours outside and in awkward positions which can cause physical discomfort and strain
