Position Description
Need someone at the infrastructure level that can assist in troubleshooting as well as setup environments for applications and web services to function. Looking for someone to assist with creating/implementing/troubleshooting cloud networks/infrastructure. the "magic behind the curtain" where all the communication takes place. *Able to do the cloud implementations by themselves** MUST be strong in Cloud Infrastructure; building & connecting environments; building out the base so that the application team can do their part.
Responsibilities:
Design and deploy functional networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN)
Configure and install software, servers, routers, and other network devices
Monitor network performance and integrity
Resolve issues tiers of support have escalated by troubleshooting cloud and local infrastructure
Automate tasks and monitor their effectiveness
Mentor team members on technical issues
Create, oversee and test security measures (e.g. access authentication and disaster recovery)
Communicate with users when needed
Maintain complete technical documentation
Suggest improvements to network performance, capacity and scalability
All other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Industry-related experience as a Senior Network Engineer or Network Administrator
Extensive experience in cloud network engineering (Azure, AWS preferred)
Solid background in network administration and architecture
Experience creating/implementing/troubleshooting cloud networks/infrastructure
Experience setup cloud environments for applications and web services to function
Experience building and baselining infrastructure specific objects in cloud environments to build consistent cloud tenants using best practice techniques for multiple cloud providers (Azure and AWS specifically)
In-depth understanding of communication protocols (mainly TCP/IP) and routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF)
Familiarity with access control models and network security
Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring and analysis tools (e.g., SolarWinds network tools)
Basic understanding of network operating systems (JUNOS, Cisco IOS)
Sharp troubleshooting skills
Ability to work independently
Organizational and mentoring skills
Expert understanding of IPSEC and other types of VPN
Experience with Fortinet and Cisco ASA
Experience with Palo Alto
Understanding of routers, switches, and firewalls.
Solid troubleshooting skills
Basic Linux OS experience
Strong customer service skills and attention to detail
Ability to work after hours to support projects and maintenance activities.
Potential travel to support field office projects
