Description
Collects and processes blood specimens for testing in the laboratory.Reports to:
Phlebotomy Supervisor
Labels, processes and delivers specimens for testing.

Drag Edit DeleteMaintains scheduled and non-scheduled equipment maintenance and medical supplies.
Drag Edit DeleteUtilize computer system for data entry and monitoring workflowDrag Edit DeleteAccurately registers patients using appropriate method and registration procedures.
Drag Edit DeletePerforms routine department functions, such as answering the phone in an appropriate and timely manner, taking/delivering messages and transferring calls as needed, faxing and copying.

Graduate of a Program in Discipline - Preferred

Required Skills
Certification:
BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) - Required within 30 days of hire, if not current upon hire.
Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
