    Collections Specialist - Orthodontics

    Summary: The Orthodontic Collection Specialist (Bilingual in Spanish) is responsible for accurate and timely collection of payments on patient accounts for all outstanding accounts receivable.

    This position will work onsite at our Williams Orthodontics office in Gilbert, AZ.

    Responsibilities:

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    • Reconcile adjustments related to prior payments posted as well as auditing and correction of rejected payments
    • Responsible for running reports of past due accounts and auditing patient schedules to identify daily collections needs per location
    • Send patients statements as required for remaining balance after posting
    • Responsible for all aspects of accounts receivable follow-up and collections on patient balances. Includes making telephone calls, communicating via text and email with patients and RP
    • Receive incoming calls regarding patient accounts from the corresponding offices and RP as needed
    • Accurately and thoroughly document the pertinent collection activity performed and follow up in a timely manner
    Qualifications:

    Education/Experience:

    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Experience working with excel
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience preferred working in collections and accounts receivable
    • Experience working in a dental or orthodontics billing practice or similar environment
    • Bilingual in Spanish, required
