    Minimum 1+ years speech therapy experience required.

    Soliant is accepting applications for a contract Speech-Language Pathologist position from applicants who specialize in assistive technology. The client is based in the area of Bolingbrook, IL, a suburb 40 minutes to the west of Chicago.

    Details of this position below:

    • Contract
    • Duration: 10-12 weeks
    • Part-time (3.5 days per week)

    As a school-based SLP, the candidate will have the following responsibilities:

    • Make recommendations for appropriate AAC devices for students who need them
    • Set up and customize assistive technologies in order to support students' communication needs
    • Evaluate and assess student use

    In addition to performance of the above duties, applicants who demonstrate the following skills can set themselves apart:

    • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
    • Collaborate and communicate with co-workers
    • Organize processes for classroom instruction and for paperwork relating to the provision of speech and language services

    This is a good opportunity for SLPs in private practice who are looking for a flexible assignment to supplement their current schedules, or for late-career SLPs who want to reduce their workload.
