- Plan, design, develop, implement, and evaluate facility occupational safety, environmental, and health programs.
- Assist in designing programs to control, eliminate, and prevent injury caused by chemical, physical, or ergonomic factors.
- Provide regulatory oversight, and counsel to management and other employee groups on a broad range of occupational safety issues and decisions.
- Coordinate the activities of all regulatory programs and processes.
- Provide guidance to a wide variety of environmental, health, and safety topics.
- Direct and review the analysis of accident and injury data, identifying the needs for new or modified safety programs.
- Conduct environmental, health, & safety training for various departments and divisions.
- Conduct inspection, investigations, and occupational safety activities in various departments and processes.
- Research occupational safety information to ensure the best available methods and equipment are adopted to minimize the hazards in the workplace.
- Periodically act as a team leader on special projects.
- Maintain records of all safety and environmental training, inspections, audits, regulatory information etc.
- Build relationships with partners for environmental compliance-local, regional and company. (Landfill disposal sites, hazardous waste companies, consulting firm, state etc.)
- Provide management and oversight for Title V operating permit, RCRA requirements, Tier II reporting, NPDES, and other environmental activities.
- Other duties as required by management.
- Have an in-depth knowledge of the state and federal Occupational Safety & Health Administration's (OSHA) regulations and requirements.
- Prior knowledge and experience with Environmental, Health and regulations
- Minimum 7 years prior experience
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in engineering, occupational safety, or related career field.
- Have a working knowledge of all company specific software, Microsoft office suite including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word
- Be able to plan, administer and implement, and evaluate departmental occupational safety programs.
- Be able to administer and implement safety programs to conform to industry standards and federal, state, and local regulations.
- Be able to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside regulatory officials.
- CSP or CHMM certification
- Stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls.
- Reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Talk or hear, taste or smell.
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- The employee must be willing and able to use all required personal protective equipment while working at Endura Products.
