Senior Electrical Design Engineer

You'll work in a dynamic, cross-functional, collaborative work environment and design and validate high-speed electronics subsystems for LiDAR product development.

What You Will Do:
Design board-level solutions consisting of mixed-signal circuitry with high-speed ADC, FPGAs, memory, high-speed LVDS, SPI, clocking, PLL, MCU, Ethernet PHY, I2C, etc.
Be responsible for the design, starting with concept and architecture, followed by schematic design and layout, fabrication and assembly with coordination and kitting with the assembly house, and final testing and integration.
Lead the PCB schematic and layout design with OrCAD and Allegro. Responsible for running circuitry simulation with PSPICE or other simulation tools.Who You Are:
A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with 8+ years of working experience in high-speed, mixed-circuit board-level design containing ADCs, FPGAs, & MCUs.
D. plus 3+ years of working experience in the field.
Must be proficient in using all necessary testing and measurement tools and techniques at or above 1 GHz.
Able to work with the manufacturer and supplier to support volume ramp and PCB quality control.
Experience with FW is a plus; experience with the ASIC development cycle is a big plus but not necessary.

Some local on-site visits to key customers.
Travel to regional customer sites and to support trade shows & conferences if needed.
$140 - $179 a year
Cepton is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.
The pay range for this role is
$140,000-$180,000 . Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
The total compensation package for this position may also include an annual performance bonus, stock, benefits and/or other applicable incentive compensation plans.
